Our delicious Bacio, Pistachio and Vanilla, the outstanding Wild Berries and Mango, the amazing Dark Chocolate and Coconut, the perfect Tiramisu and Stracciatella, the creamy and intense Cinnamon and Zabaione are only a sampling of our delectable delights.
In the time that we have been in Portland, we have become well known for the velvety texture and the intense flavor of our Gelato. Mostly through word-of-mouth, our customer base has steadily increased. Gorgeous Gelato has become a ‘must-visit’ stop in the heart of the Old Port section of Portland, Maine. And of course, like every respectable Italian Gelato maker, we do have our own manufacturing secrets. But you can be assured that we only use fresh, all-natural ingredients. Our Gelato contains the finest local whole milk, the best cream and sugars. We use no artificial sweeteners or flavors, no hydrogenated fats, no emulsifiers. Period! That’s why the taste and the texture are attracting a loyal and enthusiastic following here in New England!
Our Pistachio comes from Sicily, our Hazelnuts are imported from Piedmont and we use the best available selections of Cocoa and Coffee. Our Gelato is a healthy product because it is made daily with fresh and all-natural ingredients and it contains 70% less fat than American premium ice cream and therefore has fewer calories. Our mission is really quite simple: In addition to the highest possible quality of our products, we are going to offer them at reasonable prices. A winning combination: quality products at reasonable prices!
We arrived from Milano in August 2010 with a precise, long term business plan: produce the best Gelato west of Italy – and we are working hard every day to achieve this goal.
